der gluecklichste tagGibt es etwas Langweiligeres als Hochzeiten? Allmählich bezweifle ich das. Es nimmt und nimmt kein Ende. Der Priester redet nun schon seit einer kleinen Ewigkeit und ich habe Mühe meine Augen offen zu halten. Als er es sieht, wirft er mir einen tadelnden Blick zu, aber das ist mir egal. Er ist schließlich aus freien Stücken hier, in dieser Kirche.  Ich nicht. Ich hasse Kirchen. Sie sind groß und kalt und haben mit Glauben so gar nichts zu tun. It was the third Wednesday in July and it was by no means a special day.  It rained, maybe that makes everything a bit more logical. The days had been warm almost crushing hot. The heat had been dammed up for weeks and on that Wednesday it all came down with one enormous thunderstorm. The streets were steaming and hissing when the first rain hit the pavement.  Huge billows hung in the air, they were amazingly warm. Despite of the thick drops raining from the sky we were sweating and the sweat mixed with the water falling down on us like waterfalls. never grow up.I have a monster living underneath my bed.   
He’s made up of burnt frog skin, white-red cobweb veined eyes and a collection of missing pebble teeth. Sometimes we play scrabble.   
(The first time he was just a mechanical hum beneath the bowing wooden planks, he was just a faint smell of green and he was just a hot cloud of fog around my lips. It’s the wind, it’s the wind, I breathed. Then he breathed back, heavy and loud and monster-like; AM NOT.)   
He always spoke in capitals; MONSTERS ARE MUCH TOO SCARY FOR LOWER-CASED LETTERS, he informed me one night under pink covers. I shined the flashlight never grow up.

pretty boys break hearts.sometimes I think I’m just a mess of badly drawn lines. I’m just scrawled veins beneath paper rough skin, I wear poorly sketched scars on my thighs [skin deep red pen lines] and even my smile is lop-sided- but he never seemed to notice.        my skin [spread like thick icing over my skeleton] is a monotonous pattern of pores, a stretch of the world the sun never kissed. I can’t see the beauty in multitudes of freckles and chipped fingernails- but he does.

.a month of writing madness

I'm just writing to you to anounce that I'm going to participate in the National Novel Writing Month this year.
For those who do not know, the NaNoWriMo is a writing madness that goes through the whole month November and the goal is to write 50 000 words in 30 days.
I wanted to participate the last two years but never got the chance. The first year I moved and the second I was about to finish my long-time project, which is still pretty much nameless besides the working title Walking through the fire, and did not want to interrupt.
Currently I'm writing on two novels (Working titles: Falling into shadows & Noir. The first one being the second part of my long-time project) and again on my Alice stories alias Walking among the mad.
But this year I just can not stand back and so I'll lay my current projects to rest for the month of November and write a story I've had in mind for ages: Winternights
It's kinda a spin off to my long-term project featuring a new character and someone you already might know from a (deleted) short story: A vampire named Krit.

So, that's all I'm telling. If you are a NaNoWriMo participant, too, let me know and add me to your writing buddies.
